Spring 2023 Academic Advising for the 2023-2024 School Year

School Counselors will be meeting with students to select their classes for the 2023-2024 school year.  Core classes will be loaded based on current academic placement.  Elective classes will be shown in ParentVue/StudentVue immediately upon meeting with their School Counselor.

School Counseling Activities


Wellness Club

The Wellness Club is designed to promote social connectedness and encourage healthy self-care behaviors. The club will provide a space where students can participate in activities and discussions to encourage a healthy mind and school culture.

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month in the Wellness Room (#2001) from 3:00 to 4:00 pm! *There is no activity bus on Wednesdays*.

Builders Club

PSMS Builders Club is a student-led Community Service organization which builds leaders within our school through volunteering and acts of service. PSMS Builders Club is making a difference one service project at a time!

No Place for Hate Committee

Potomac Shores' No Place for Hate (NPFH) committee is dedicated to communicating openly about diversity and building positive relationships in our school and community. We will plan and engage students with various activities that counter against bias and bullying, and help make Potomac Shores an equitable, safe, and inclusive school environment where all students feel valued and accepted.

We will meet on the second Tuesday of each month from 3:00- 4:30 pm. Permission slips are in the school counseling office.

Seahawk Spirit Club

Seahawk Spirit Club is designed to promote school spirit and social connectedness at Potomac Shores. We will be planning and hosting Spirit Weeks, Pep Rallies, and sponsoring other awareness and appreciation events throughout the year. We will meet after school and during Seahawk Time at the start of school.

Designed By Seahawks Club

This club is geared towards artistic and digital designing enthusiasts!  Members will create stickers, flyers, bulletin borads and posters promoting our school community.  We will also plan and complete projects to improve school beautification such as designing murals.  Members will learn how to use a Cricut machine to creat sticker, labels, t-shirts and more!  We meet 2 Monday's a month from 3:00-4:30. * There is no actvity bus on Monday's you must have a ride at 4:30.
