Club Sponsor: Mr. Marlon Marshall

PURPOSE: The primary purpose of the Future Leaders Squad (FLS) Program is to develop the future leaders within our students, by inviting life coaches, mentors, and entrepreneurs who will discuss, quality characteristics required for becoming successful future leaders in life, business, organizations, and in their communities. Ultimately, FLS will assist students with overcoming life's challenges to achieve their greatness!

OBJECTIVES: The objectives of FLS are founded in the three steps of S's-

  • Self-leader
  • Servant-leader
  • Successful-leader

S.O.S.

  • STRIVE: IF YOU'RE GOING TO GO TO THE NEXT LEVEL, YOUR VALUES AND MINDSET ARE GOING TO HAVE TO CHANGE.DON'T STOP WHEN YOU'RE TIRED, STOP WHEN YOU'RE DONE.
  • OVERCOME: IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER WHO I USED TO BE; ALL THAT MATTERS IS WHO I HAVE BECOME. IT'S NOT WHO YOU ARE THAT HOLDS YOU BACK, IT'S WHO YOU THINK YOU'RE NOT.
  • SUCCEED: SUCCESS OCCURS WHEN YOUR DREAMS GET BIGGER THAN YOUR EXCUSES. DON'T BE AFRAID TO GIVE UP GOOD FOR THE GREAT.

SUCCESS STORIES

"Being in FLS (Future Leaders Squad) has taught me a whole lot of things. It has taught me that you must set different rules and standards in your life if you want better for yourself. It has taught me that everything you do and you want to be good at, y must work hard. Being a leader means that you w right from wrong, meaning you have to make the right decisions if you want to be great in life. Overall, this sets a great example for the younger kids in the group, as they will learn right from wrong at a younger age. I also think that leadership has put a big impact on me and the way! think. I need to become a better person and set a great example for my underclassmen peers. Mr. Marshall, the other Mr. Marshall & Ms. Morant, I want to thank you guys for setting a better path for me on my journey to become the best leader I can be." ~Nolan H.

"Leadership has had an impact on me in life even though I could not make it to most of the meetings. It has made me think more about things and make the right decision when doing not smart things. Leadership builds friendships with people helps them do team work especially when we do community service it builds bonds threw teamwork. Ithink this group is good for the future of Potomac sheres and it has a lot of big things coming for the fure kids. I have learned that being a leader it means u mave to work hard for everything that u do and putin 100% effort for everything u want. I just want to thank Mr. Marshal! and his brother and Mr. Morant for taking their own time and doing this with is to be leaders and heiping us be the bestwe can when we get older. This group can chalge people life physically and mentally it changes how people think in life make smart decisions this group impacts us in high school a lot because we are going to make a lot of decisions some are going to be bad and good but its life and that's why this group impacts the future in every way.
