Student Ambassador Program
Our Student Ambassador Program empowers students to become leaders, role models, and the face of our school community. Ambassadors play a vital role in welcoming new students and families, supporting school events, and promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.
As a Student Ambassador, you will develop valuable leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while representing your school with pride. From giving tours and assisting at events to mentoring peers and participating in outreach opportunities, ambassadors make a meaningful impact both inside and outside the classroom.
We are looking for responsible, motivated students who demonstrate strong character, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence. If you are passionate about your school and ready to lead, we encourage you to apply and become a voice for your community.
Step into leadership. Make a difference. Become an Ambassador.
Applications for rising 7th and 8th graders are due Monday, June 01, 2026. Sixth graders can apply in September 2026.
We welcome ALL new students to Potomac Shores. S2S Ambassadors provide tours to new students throughout the year, rising 6th grade students at the end of the year, and other people during various events throughout the school year. S2S Ambassadors are paired with new students as they enter the school. Once paired, they become lunch buddies/peer support. Lunch buddies/peer support provides fun and engaging ways to get to know other students and build new peer groups. Lunch buddies/peer support also provides time for the new student to check in with concerns. Community engagement is important to PWCS, and S2S Ambassadors understand and realize their role in engaging the community in Potomac Shores. We organize schoolwide and community-wide events that foster this districtwide goal. S2S Ambassadors collaborate with many other clubs within Potomac Shores Middle School as well as participates in various National Programs to execute service projects throughout the school year.
